BSA Investigator I - Fully Onsite

Summary:

The BSA Investigator I supports the bank’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. This role investigates suspicious transactions, monitors high-risk accounts, and ensures adherence to internal policies. The position works closely with the BSA Officer, internal teams, and may collaborate with law enforcement or regulators as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate suspicious transactions and high-risk accounts in partnership with bank operations.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with BSA, AML, and USA PATRIOT Act requirements.
• Document and analyze case findings in the case management system.
• Escalate significant issues or findings to the BSA Officer.
• Assist in refining BSA investigation procedures and compliance processes.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and industry best practices.
• Recommend risk mitigation strategies to senior management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support department goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma required; bachelor’s in business, finance, or criminal justice preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a BSA/AML role and 3+ years in banking; CAMS or CAFP certification and Verafin experience preferred.

• Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information
