Job Description

Junior Art Director (2-Month Contract)

Location: NYC (3 days in office in Soho Studio)

Team: Creative

Reports To: Senior Art Director / Creative Director

About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior Art Director who’s ready to punch above their weight. You’ll be crafting compelling comps, making pitch decks sing, and bringing bold ideas to life with taste and precision. You’re fluent in the visual language of brands and culture—and you know how to use AI to work smarter and faster. We want a thinker. A maker. A teammate. Someone who takes feedback without ego, pushes creative without fear, and knows how to turn loose ideas into striking visual stories that sell.

What You’ll Do

  • Create high-quality comps and mockups that bring ideas to life in pitches and client presentations
  • Design impactful and well-structured presentation decks that tell a clear and exciting creative story
  • Use AI tools (DALL·E, Midjourney, Runway, Adobe Firefly, etc.) to ideate, iterate, and elevate creative output
  • Apply strong art direction skills to digital, social, OOH, and experiential creative
  • Contribute to brainstorms and concepting sessions with smart, visual-first thinking
  • Be proactive—identify ways to make the work better, the process smoother, and the team stronger
  • Take feedback well, pivot with grace, and show up hungry to learn and grow

What You Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in a creative agency or design-forward environment
  • A killer portfolio that shows sharp comps, crisp design, and strong conceptual thinking
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Figma, and AI creative tools
  • A knack for visual storytelling—especially in Keynote, Google Slides, or PowerPoint
  • A collaborative mindset: egoless, curious, and generous with your ideas and effort
  • A passion for branding, culture, design, and the craft of advertising
  • Hunger to level up—to think bigger, design sharper, and push work forward

Bonus Points If You…

  • Have motion or 3D design chops
  • Know how to build out visual systems across campaigns
  • Have experience working on fast-paced pitches or content sprints
  • Can help make creative ideas more sellable and client-ready in deck form
