Position: Survey Crew Chief
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida
Salary: $65,000-$72,000

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Survey Crew Chief, you will plan, organize, and direct the work of one or more crew members engaged in field surveying. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Reading and interpreting civil engineering and survey plans. Applying thorough knowledge of standard land survey procedures, accurate note-keeping, and field execution for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. Operating and/or directing the operation of electronic data collectors, GPS equipment, optical and robotic total stations, and digital/optical leveling equipment. Making sound, informed decisions in the field. Motivating, training, and leading crew and staff members on proper field procedures.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
-Willingness to travel as needed (Less than once a month in state)
-Experience with topographic surveys, boundary surveys, construction layout, and GPS surveys
-High school diploma or equivalent
-5 to 10+ years of experience with construction and boundary survey work
-Ability to take clear, legible field notes
HUGE PLUS: Hydrographic surveying experience (Specialized field focused on measuring and surveying underwater features).
